Description
The Tulalip Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO) addresses the laws that govern activities within the boundaries of the reservation. TERO helps ensure preference in employment, contracting and economic activities; provides vocational training opportunities; and prohibits employment discrimination. The TERO program assists Tribal members, other Natives and their families with getting preferential employment, contracting and business opportunities.

Who Can Use It
Any Tribal member who is looking for work, who is employed, or who owns a business can access TERO to ensure they are not being discriminated against or are complying with applicable nondiscrimination and preference laws.

How to Join
If you feel you have been discriminated against in a workplace or other business situation because you are Native, call 360-716-4747 for assistance.

Costs
There are no costs to you for the TERO program.

What to Expect
Depending on your situation, you might speak to a TERO attorney or compliance officer after you make an initial call.

There is something you can do.
Strong community connections are key to addressing this crisis. When neighbors and local groups unite, they create a support network that can identify and help those at risk. Small acts—checking in, sharing resources, offering support—make a real difference. These connections don’t just help in emergencies; they build resilience and prevent addiction from taking root.
